MyFinLit Partnership Ethics & Compliance Addendum

This Ethics Addendum establishes the standards governing all institutional partnerships with MyFinLit, including schools, districts, nonprofits, employers, and community organizations. 

1. Ethical Education First

All educational content delivered through MyFinLit must prioritize:

  • Learner well-being 
  • Objective instruction 
  • Skill-based financial mastery 
  • Long-term wealth principles

No partner may influence curriculum to promote:

  • Predatory products 
  • Commission-based selling 
  • Biased financial recommendations 
  • Hidden sponsorships 

2.Inclusion & Accessibility

Partners agree to uphold MyFinLit’s inclusion standards by ensuring:

  • Equitable access 
  • Non-discriminatory participation 
  • Cultural and socioeconomic sensitivity 
  • Age-appropriate instruction 

3. Data Privacy & Protection

All learner data is protected under strict privacy standards:

  • No resale or external sharing of student data 
  • FERPA, COPPA, and applicable privacy laws honored 
  • Secure storage and controlled access only 

4. No Conflict of Interest

Partners agree not to:

  • Use MyFinLit learners as sales targets 
  • Solicit financial products during instruction 
  • Recruit for personal financial gain 

5. Transparency in Pricing & Funding

All funding models, sponsorships, and program fees must be disclosed clearly and honestly to sponsoring organizations and participants. 

6. Outcome Accountability

Partners agree to:

  • Support outcome tracking 
  • Participate in program evaluations 
  • Cooperate on impact reporting 

7. Termination for Ethical Breach

Any violation of this Addendum may result in immediate termination of the partnership without penalty to MyFinLit.
